    Connections Chapter Connecting to a TV Step Check the type of video input on your TV. To view 480p, 576p, 720p or 1080i output, use the HDMI OUTPUT jack or the COMPONENT OUTPUT jacks to connect to a TV. Some discs may require use of the HDMI OUTPUT jack for viewing of high resolution material.

    Connections Chapter Connecting to an audio system You can enjoy the benefi ts of Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD by connecting the HDMI output of your player to an AV receiver with an HDMI audio input. You can listen to down-converted Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD as well as Dolby Digital and DTS using a receiver with Dolby Digital and DTS decoding capabilities and an optical digital input.
