Connecting
rod
Bearing hous-
ing and crank-
shaft
Procedures
Remove the connecting rod
from the crankshaft.
From the crankshaft remove
the key on the side of fan.
Remove the bolt fastening the
bearing housing.
Pull
the crankshaft together
with the bearing housing.
(Gently tap the side of crank
gear with plastic hammer.)
Remarks
No lock washer.
Be careful of the direc-
tion of rod. (Fan mark
is on the side of the
flywheel.)
Be careful of the setting
mark of the cap.
(See Fig. 26.)
Be careful of the copper
shim and "0" ring be-
tween the bearing hous-
ing and the case.
Also be careful of the
hole for o i l .
Bolts, nuts etc. used
8 x 22 7T bolt.

After pulling out the
crankshaft from the
case, remove housing.
The bearing remains on
the crankshaft.
