Power Tool Attachments This STIHL attachment may be mounted to different STIHL power tools. Power tools approved for use with the attachment are listed in the chapter on "Approved Basic Power Tools". The assembled combination of basic power tool and attachment is generally referred to as the power tool in this manual. -

Careless or improper use may cause serious or fatal injury. Have your STIHL dealer show you how to operate your power tool. Observe all applicable local safety regulations, standards and ordinances. - Page 5 Most of these safety precautions and warnings apply to the use of all STIHL power scythes. Do not attempt any maintenance or repair work not described in your power tool and attachment instruction manuals. Have such work performed by your STIHL servicing dealer only. Wear gloves when handling or performing maintenance on blades. -

When the end of the drive tube is no longer visible in the slot (11), push the gearbox fully home as far as stop. Insert clamp screws as far as stop. Line up the gearbox (10) on the drive tube so that the machine support on the powerhead points down and the blades are horizontal. -
