    Sony TV. Buttons on the remote commander marked with a dot (•) can be used to operate your Sony TV. If the TV does not have symbol near the remote sensor, this remote commander will not operate the TV.

    Controlling other TVs with the remote commander (SLV-SE300D1/D2 and SE480D only) The remote commander is preprogrammed to control non-Sony TVs. If your TV is listed in the following table, set the appropriate manufacturer’s code number. Set [TV] / [VIDEO] at the top of the remote commander to [TV].

    If the picture is not clear Normally, the Auto Fine Tuning (AFT) function automatically tunes in channels clearly. However, if the picture is not clear, you may also use the manual tuning function. Press PROG +/– or the programme number buttons to select the programme position for which you cannot obtain a clear picture.

    Changing/disabling programme positions After setting the channels, you can change the programme positions as you like. Symptom The ?/1 ON/STANDBY switch does not function. The power is turned on but the VCR does not operate. The VCR is plugged in but the display window remains dark.
