    Getting Started Step 1: Using this manual The instructions in this manual are for LBT-LX50/LX30/LX8/LX7/LX6/LX5. The LBT-LX6 is the model used for illustration purposes. Any difference in operation is clearly indicated in the text, for example, “LBT-LX7/LX5 only” or “For European models.” Wide display is used for LBT-LX8/LX7 and normal display is used for LBT-LX50/LX30/LX6/ LX5.

    Inserting two R6 (size AA) batteries into the remote With normal use, the batteries should last for about six months. When the remote no longer operates the system, replace both batteries with new ones. Note If you do not use the remote for a long period of time, remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from battery leakage.

    Basic Operations Playing a CD — Normal Play You can play up to five CDs in a row. (Power) VOLUME PLAY MODE DISK SKIP AMS ./> CD N VOL +/– Press PUSH OPEN and place a CD on the disc tray. If the disc is not placed properly, it will not be recognized.

    Playing CD tracks repeatedly — Repeat Play This function lets you repeat a single CD or all CDs in Normal Play, Shuffle Play, and Program Play. PLAY MODE Press REPEAT repeatedly during playback until “REPEAT” appears in the display. Repeat Play starts. The following table describes the various repeat modes.
