Assigning Functions to the Remote
Control Unit
You can control the printer using the RM-91 Remote
Control Unit (not supplied) connected to the REMOTE
2 connector on the rear panel of the printer.
Using the menu, you can assign the desired functions to
the remote control unit connected to the REMOTE 2
connector.
In addition, the printer can be remotely controlled by a
pulse signal input to REMOTE 2. (See page 59.)
Also, you can control the printer using a personal
computer.
For detailed information on controlling the printer with
a computer, contact with your Sony dealer.

Display the FUNCTION SETUP menu from the
PRINTER SETUP menu.

Select the timing to capture the image on the
IMMED. CAP. item
When you want to

Capture the image a certain interval
after the trigger pulse is input to the
REMOTE 2 connector.
a) When IMMED. CAP. is set to ON, display the source
image on the video monitor when sending the trigger
pulse to the printer. The printer operation is set only to
capture an image when receiving the trigger pulse.

Notes
• Select ON when you want to capture the image at
a precise point in time controlled from the
computer.
• To assign the function to the remote control unit
connected to the REMOTE 2 connector on the

Select the desired RM 2 FUNC item, then assign a

Has the same function as the

C & PRINT
Captures an image to a memory
(CAPTURE &

switch while printing is being
performed, the selected image is
queued, with the queued image
being printed once printing has
been completed.

CYCLIC-C
Captures images to memory
(CYCLIC CAPTURE)

images. It does this cyclically
whenever you press the switch.
The printer continues to capture
images, replacing the one
previously captured with a new
one.

CAP-STOP
Captures images in a memory
(CAPTURE STOP)
page whenever you press the
switch of the remote control unit.
Once images have been captured
in all the memory pages, the
printer stops capturing images
and the message HIT ANY KEY
appears.
STOP
Stops printing after the current
printing operation is finished
whenever you press the switch of
the remote control unit.
CAP/SRC
When the memory image is
(CAPTURE/
displayed, the source image
SOURCE)
appears when you press the
switch.
When the source image is
displayed, the image is captured
in memory when you press the
switch of the remote control unit.
However, the memory page is not
changed. The previously
captured image is replaced with
the new one.
