Using your CLIÉ™ handheld with your computer Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ stored on the supplied Installation CD-ROM must be installed on your computer. The software is used for data transfer between your CLIÉ handheld and computer, and handling data on your computer such as Address Book. - Page 16 Quit all applications running on Windows Insert the supplied Installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. The Installation CD-ROM window is displayed. Click [Next] or [CLIÉ Basic], then click [Install] to install Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ. The setup program starts and the InstallShield Wizard window is displayed.
