  • Page 8 Connecting a digital component When you connect an MD deck or another digital component through the DIGITAL (CD) OUT connectors, you can make a digital recording. To connect through the DIGITAL (CD) OUT OPTICAL connector Use an optical digital cable for this connection.     Press N. Playback starts from the first track. If you want to start playing from a specific track, turn l AMS L (or press ./> on the remote repeatedly) to select the track number before pressing N. Adjust the volume on the amplifier. Basic operations during play Do the following: Press x.

    Turn l AMS L (or press ./> on the remote) to select the desired playback area. Press l AMS L (or ENTER on the remote). Note The multi-channel playback area is automatically selected whenever you start playback because “SEL– Mch” (multi-channel playback area) is the factory setting.
  • Page 12 Displaying the information TEXT discs contain information, such as the disc name or artist name, as well as the audio signals. This player can display the disc name, artist name, and current track name as TEXT information. When the player detects a TEXT disc, “TEXT” appears in the display.

    Turning off the information in the display Press DISPLAY MODE on the remote. Each time you press the button while playing a disc, the display turns off and on alternately. Even when the display is turned off, it will turn on when certain buttons are pressed, and then turn off again after a few seconds.

    Storing Information About CDs Labeling Discs — Disc Name The player can store the information called “Disc Name”, up to 100 discs (for the Hybrid disc, each layer is correspond to the Disc Name). Once you have stored the disc name for a disc, the player automatically recalls what you have stored whenever you select that disc.

    • During power on, some noise may be heard while the disc is being loaded into the Super Audio CD player. This is not a malfunction. On adjusting the volume Do not turn up the volume too much while listening to a portion with very low level inputs or no audio signals.
