    Getting Started Resetting the unit Before operating the unit for the first time, or after replacing the car battery or changing the connections, you must reset the unit. Remove the front panel and press the RESET button with a pointed object, such as a ball-point pen.

    Attaching the front panel Place hole A of the front panel onto the spindle B on the unit, then lightly push the left side in. Note Do not put anything on the inner surface of the front panel. Setting the clock The clock uses a 12-hour digital indication.

    Cassette Player Listening to a tape Press (OPEN) and insert a cassette. Playback starts automatically. Close the front panel. If a cassette is already inserted, press (SOURCE) repeatedly until “FORWARD” or “REVERSE” appears to start playback. FORWARD: The side facing up is played. REVERSE: The side facing down is played.

    Radio The unit can store up to 6 stations per band (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, and AM2). Caution When tuning in stations while driving, use Best Tuning Memory to prevent accidents. Storing stations automatically — Best Tuning Memory (BTM) The unit selects the stations with the strongest signals within the selected band, and stores them in the order of their frequency.

    Storing only the desired stations You can manually preset the desired stations on any chosen number button. Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select the radio. Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the band. Press either side of (SEEK) to tune in the station that you want to store. Press the desired number button ((1) to (6)) on the card remote commander for 2 seconds until “MEM”...

    Tips • Simply overwrite or enter “ ” to correct or erase a name. • There is another way to start storing station names: Press (LIST) for 2 seconds instead of performing steps 2 and 3. You can also complete the operation by pressing (LIST) for 2 seconds instead of step 5.

    Other Functions You can also control the unit (and optional CD/ MD units) with a rotary commander (optional). Using the rotary commander First, attach the appropriate label depending on how you want to mount the rotary commander. The rotary commander works by pressing buttons and/or rotating controls.

    Selecting the sound position — My Best sound Position (MBP) When you drive without passengers, you can enjoy the most comfortable sound environment with “My Best sound Position.” “My Best sound Position” has 2 presets, which are best suited for the front seats. You can select one very easily with the MBP button.

    Adjusting the equalizer curve You can store and adjust the equalizer settings for frequency and level. Press (MENU). Press either side of (DISC/PRESET) repeatedly until “EQ7 TUNE” appears, then press (ENTER). Press either side of (SEEK) to select the desired equalizer curve, then press (ENTER).

    Préparation Réinitialisation de l’appareil Avant la première mise en service de l’appareil ou après avoir remplacé la batterie du véhicule ou modifié les connexions, vous devez réinitialiser l’appareil.
