Scanning the channel bank for free channels –
SCAN
Before putting one or several transmission links into operation,
you should scan the channel bank for free channels.
Starting the scan and storing the scan result
Before starting the scan, switch all transmitters of your
system off, since channels used by switched-on
transmitters will not be displayed as "free channels".
Select the "SCAN" menu.
Select "START" and confirm your selection by pressing the
SET
button. After the scan is completed, the number of free
channels is displayed. Pressing the
will store the scan result and lock all channels that are used
or subject to interference.
Releasing locked channels
Select the "SCAN" menu.
Select "CLEAR" and confirm your selection by pressing the
SET
button. All channels can now be selected again.
Adjusting the squelch threshold –
The receiver is equipped with a squelch that can be adjusted via
the "SQELCH" menu (see "Squelch" on page 34). The squelch
eliminates annoying noise when the transmitter is switched
off. It also suppresses sudden noise when there is no longer
sufficient transmitter power received by the receiver.
