Emergency Car Starter This Schumacher Emergency Car Starter is designed to start a weak automotive or power sport 12 volt battery. This Emergency Car Starter is intended for use on 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder gas-powered cars and light trucks. Do not use on 6 volt or 24 volt electrical systems or diesel-powered vehicles.

USING THE SCHUMACHER EC-4000-USB EMERGENCY CAR STARTER AS A 12V DC POWER SOURCE The Emergency Car Starter has a V DC accessory outlet located behind the right cap. This port has a positive center terminal. Most 12V DC accessories have this configuration. Do not use the ac- cessory if it does not have a positive center pin.

. The INTERNAL BATTERY CHARGING LED and the LED on the starter’s male plug should illuminate red. If these LEDs do not light, turn the car ignition key to the Accessory (ACC) position. If the LEDs still do not light, check for a faulty fuse in the male plug or in the vehicle’s fuse panel.

RECHARGING THE EMERGENCY CAR STARTER The EC-4000-USB comes uncharged. We recommend you charge it immediately. Recharge after every use and every month if not used. There are two ways to recharge: A. Charging the EC-4000-USB’s internal battery with the AC wall charger: .

FUSE: The EC-4000-USB comes with a A fast-blow fuse located in the end of the male adaptor plug. Replace only with a fuse of the same size and rating. To replace the fuse simply un-screw the metal tip of the male plug. ACCESSORY OUTLET OUTPUT: V DC 5 Amp maximum.
