(such as the Internet or an intranet). Fuser Unit The part of a laser printer that melts the toner onto the print media. It consists of a hot roller and a back-up roller. All applications should be closed on your PC before beginning installation. A local printer is a printer directly attached to your computer using the printer cable supplied with your printer, such as a USB or parallel cable.
