    Section 1: Getting Started This section explains how to start using your tablet by configuring your hardware and activating your service. Warning!: Please note that a touch screen responds best to a light touch from the pad of your finger. Using excessive force or a metallic object when pressing on the touch screen may damage the tempered glass surface and void the warranty.

    Your device lets you use a microSD (SD) or microSDHC card to expand available memory space. This secure digital card enables you to exchange images, music, and data between SD-compatible devices. This type of memory card is designed for use with this tablet and other devices. Push the microSD card into the slot until it clicks (as shown).

    To use the travel adapter to charge your battery, follow these steps: Carefully slide the Outlet Connector into the Charging Head (1). Make sure the connection is secure. Connect the USB cable to the Charging Head (2). Insert the USB cable into the device’s Charger/Accessory jack.

    Press and hold (on the upper right side of the tablet) until the tablet switches on. Sweep your finger across the glass to unlock the tablet. Note: The display language is preset to English at the factory. To change the language, use the Language menu.

A Google account password is required for Google applications. It also shows how to navigate through the tablet and provides information on using a memory card. Features of Your Tablet Your tablet is lightweight, easy-to-use and offers many useful features.

    There are two main keypad layout keys that will change the on- screen keys within the QWERTY keypad. The available Text Input modes are: Sym and Abc. Symbol/Numeric Mode: activates the number, symbol, and emoticon keys. Abc Mode: activates the default alphabet keys. Can also be set to ABC or abc by using the shift ( Note: When in Abc mode, the Sym button will appear.

    Section 4: Contacts This section allows you to manage your daily contacts by storing their name and number in your Contact list. Contact entries can be sorted by name, entry, or group. Note: When storing a Contact entry into your SIM card, note that only the name, phone number, group, and slot location are initially offered as fields (some SIM cards may allow an address as well).

    To add a pause or a wait to a Contact: From the Home screen, tap then tap the name or number to open the Contact. Tap Edit. Tap the phone number field. Tap the screen at the position where the pause or wait needs to be added.

    Depending on your particular SIM card, the maximum number of contacts the SIM card can store and how they are stored may differ. From the Home screen, tap Within the Contacts list (sorted alphabetically), tap a letter on the left side of the display to quickly jump to the contacts beginning with that letter.

    From the Accounts menu you decide if you want applications to synchronize, send, and receive data at any given time, or if you want the applications to synchronize automatically. It includes such settings as: display, security, memory, and any extra settings associated with your tablet. Wireless and Network Flight mode Flight mode allows you to use many of your tablet’s features, such as Camera, Games, and more, when you are in an airplane or in any other area where making or receiving calls or data is prohibited.

    The WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button is a standard for easy and secure wireless network set up and connections. To use WPS, the connecting device must support WPS and be compatible with Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security. WPS can automatically set up a random network name and WPA wireless security for wireless Wi-Fi phones, routers, access points, computers, adapters, and other electronic devices.

Your tablet begins scanning and lists any discovered devices in the Bluetooth devices section. Tap a device name to pair with the device.

    The following options display: • Font style: allows you to set the font for your tablet display. • Brightness: configures the LCD Brightness levels. Tap Automatic brightness to allow the tablet to self-adjust and tap OK. • White color density: allows you to set the density of the white color using a slider bar.

    Before you use applications such as Google Maps and find your location or search for places of interest, you must enable the Use wireless networks option or enable the GPS satellites. From the Home screen, tap and security. Tap Use wireless networks to enable location information using the wireless network.
