arrestor and might not protect against

• Be sure the total wattage of all connected
devices does not exceed 1875 watts.
• Use the surge protector only with a three-
prong standard AC plug. The surge

a grounded AC source.
• Retain Instructions — Retain the safety

2. Plug the device(s) you want to protect
into the AC socket(s). The connected
devices are protected.

does not light, see "Troubleshooting".

Your surge protector is equipped with a
safety slide cover on each of its six AC

sockets. Slide up the cover to cover the
unused AC socket(s). Slide them down when
you're ready to use the sockets.

Your surge protector is supplied with pairs of
indication tags to identify which device's
power cords are connected to which AC
socket. Stick a large color tag on the power
cord near the base of the device and the
same color small tag next to the surge
protector's target AC socket.

PROTECTED WHEN LIT
Indicator — Lights green when
the connected devices are
protected.
Indication Tags — Lets you place
the supplied pairs of tags next to a
socket and on the device's power
cord to identify the devices which are
connected to each AC socket so you
can avoid disconnecting the wrong
device.
Swift Detection and Protection —
Detects and protects against a
power surge of up to 6,000 volts and
42,500 amps within 1 nanosecond
(1 billionth of a second).

Condition
The PROTECTED WHEN LIT indicator does
not light.
Solution
The surge protector's AC line is no longer
protected from surges; replace the surge
protector. The surge protector may have
received a power surge or spike beyond its
specified limits that might overload the
protection circuitry and make it inactive. If this
happened, the surge protector should have
absorbed enough of the surge to protect the
connected equipment, but it will not protect
against future surges and spikes
