Quick Links

Thank you for purchasing the RadioShack Portable Folding
Amplified Speaker System. It is ideal for use with your notebook
computer or personal stereo. The dual 2 1/4-inch (57 mm)
full-range speakers are for use near a notebook computer. The
built-in cable allows easy connection and cable storage. And,
for your convenience, the speakers fold to fit into the supplied
carrying pouch.
1. Slide the power switch to OFF.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Install three AA batteries, matching the
polarity (+ and -) symbols marked inside the battery compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.
5. Slide the power switch to ON.
You also can power the system using a 6V, 300mA AC adapter and a size M Adaptaplug
(neither supplied). Both are available at your local RadioShack store.
1. Attach a size M Adaptaplug to the adapter, with its tip set to positive.
2. Slide the power switch to OFF. Then, connect the AC adapter's barrel plug to the portable
system's DC 6V jack.
3. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet.
1. Connect the DC adapter (not supplied) cord's barrel plug to the speaker system's DC 6V jack.
2. Unplug the cigarette lighter and plug the large end of the DC adapter into the cigarette lighter socket.
CAUTIONS:
• You must use a Class 2 power source that supplies 6V DC and delivers at least 300 mA. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit the system's DC 6V jack. Using an adapter that does
not meet these specifications can damage the system or adapter.
• Do not leave the adapter plugged into the cigarette lighter socket or connected to the speaker system when you are not using it.
1. Slide power to OFF and turn the volume down.
2. Place the opened speakers on a level surface.
3. Insert the stereo plug into the audio output jack of
your notebook computer or personal stereo.
4. Slide power to ON.
5. Adjust the volume as desired.
6. To disassemble the speaker system, slide power
to OFF. Then, disconnect the stereo plug from the
audio output jack and route the speaker cable
along the recess of the left speaker cabinet.
7. Place the stereo plug into the plug holder, and
then close the speaker cabinets.
