    WARNING: Always wear eye protec- tion. Never lean over the trimmer head. Rocks or debris can ricochet or be thrown into eyes and face and cause blindness or other serious injury.
  • Page 7 The carburetor has been carefully set at the factory. Adjustments may be necessary if you notice any of the following conditions: S Engine will not idle when the throttle is re- leased. S The trimmer head moves/spins at idle.
  • Page 8 Idle Speed Adjustment Allow engine to idle. Adjust speed until engine runs without trimmer head moving or spinning (idle too fast) or stalling (idle speed too slow). S Turn idle speed screw clockwise to in- crease engine speed if engine stalls or dies.
