WARNING: The chain must not move when the engine runs at idle speed. If the chain moves at idle speed refer to CAR- BURETOR ADJUSTMENT manual. Avoid contact with the muffler. A hot muffler can cause serious burns. To stop the engine move the ON/STOP switch to the STOP position. -

Starting could require pulling the starter rope handle many times depending on how badly the unit is flooded. If engine fails to start, refer to the TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE or call 1-800-554-6723. CHAIN BRAKE WARNING: If the brake band is worn too thin it may break when the chain brake is triggered. -

CLEANING THE SPARK ARREST- ING SCREEN Cleaning is required every 25 hours of op- eration or annually, whichever comes first. 1. Loosen and remove the nut from the ex- haust outlet cover. 2. Remove the exhaust oulet cover. 3. Remove spark arresting screen. Handle screen carefully to prevent damage. -
