Recording from Video Components

The following operations show you how to record audio and video to the video tape recorder connected to the VCR
jacks.
The receiver's volume, tone (BASS, TREBLE, and LOUDNESS), and surround effects have no effect on the
memo
recorded signal.

Select the component you want to record.
Be sure to press SIGNAL SELECT on the front panel to choose
"ANALOG". (Refer to "Switching ANALOG/DIGITAL signal input" on
page 26.)

Prepare the program source.

Insert a blank tape into the video tape recorder VCR.

Start recording on the video tape recorder, then start
playback from the source component.

• Recording cannot be made from analog to digital, and similarly
from digital to analog.
• When recording a DVD, the recorded image may flicker or be
difficult to view because of the copy protection signal
programmed on the DVD.
