    Maintenance ● When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out, in a straight line. ● Do not expose the player, batteries or discs to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat (caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight).

Use component video cables (red/blue/green - not supplied) to connect the DVD system's Y Pb Pr jacks to the corresponding Component video input jacks (or labeled as Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr or YUV) on the TV.

    DVD player and power amplifier STANDBY-ON B – switches the system on or to standby mode. Display – shows the current status of the DVD player. ÉÅ – starts or interrupts disc playback. PRESET +/- – in tuner mode, selects a preset radio station.

    System Menu Options Parental Some DVDs may have a parental level assigned to the complete disc or to certain scenes on the disc. This feature lets you set a playback limitation level. The rating levels are from 1 to 8 and are country dependent.

    Do not open the system as there is a risk of electric shock. If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the system for repair. If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or Philips for help.
