  • Page 3 The new CS 800s retains the Peavey patented DDT’” compression system which virtually eliminates any possibility of clipping. The new back panel design now includes plug-in modules for both inputs and outputs offering flexible patching features and various connector choices.

    FRONT PANEL DDT’” ACTIVE LED (1) Illuminates when DDT’” Compression is taking place. With the ENABLE/DEFEAT switch in the DEFEAT position, the LED indicates when clipping distortion is occurring. POWER LED (2) Illuminates when AC power is being supplied to the amp and the associated channel is operational. Illumination is delayed slightly during the power-up cycle due to the transient suppression/thermal fault circuitry.
  • Page 5 XLR inputs. This switch is a push-push type and a small diameter “tool” is required to select the desired position. Set to the out (default) position, the polarity is pin #3 positive, pin #2 negative, and pin #I ground. This is the polarity found on most Peavey power amplifiers.

  • Page 7 THE Sl OUTPUT MODULE REAR VIEW LOW CURRENT STEREO MODE (18) (Option 1) This Sl module is shipped wired as follows: lt as the channel signal output and 1 as the channel chassis ground. This is really the defacto standard for most low-to-medium power loudspeaker systems.
  • Page 8 INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION The Peavey CS 800s commercial series power amplifier is designed for durability in commercial installations and the quality of performance required in studio and home applications. The unit is a standard rack-mount configuration, 3 l/2” high and is cooled by two variable speed internal fans.

    1,200 watts reliably. DDT’” Peavey’s patented DDT’” compression system enables the sound man to maximize the performance of the amplifier/speaker combination by preventing the power amp from running out of headroom (clipping). This compression system is activated by a unique circuit that senses signal conditions that might overload the amplifier and reduce the amplifier’s gain when clipping is imminent.

Si bien esta no es la polaridad “estandar” (IEC) a nivel mundial, es la que Peavey eligio hate mas de 20 afios y la ofrecemos por cuestiones de coherencia con 10s productos antiguos y actuales.
  • Page 13 lndependientemente del tipo de conexiones a usar, la carga minima de 10s altavoces en paralelo debe limitarse siempre a 2 Q por canal o 4 Q en el modo de puente para cualquier aplicacion. En las aplicaciones de operation en forma sostenida, es preferible operar con cargas de 4 Q por canal u 8 R en modo de puente, debido al hecho de que el amplificador funcionara mucho mas frio con estas cargas.

Im nicht gedriickten Zustand (Standardposition) ist Stift Nr. 3 positiv, Stift Nr. 2 negativ und Stift Nr. 1 geerdet. Dies ist die Polaritat, die die meisten Endverstarker von Peavey aufweisen.
