USEFUL INFORMATION The appliance is to be used only for heating dishware and for keeping food warm. The appliance is equipped with a hot air system. A fan creates excellent distribution of warmth from the drawer heating elements. Air circulation heats the dishes evenly and quickly. A protection grille prevents contact with the heating element and the fan.

APPLIANCE CONTROLS HPWD 140 The control elements are the temperature knob and the luminous ON-OFF switch. With the switch pressed (position 1) the drawer is on, whereas when the switch is released (position 0) the drawer is off. These parts can be seen only when the drawer is open. When the drawer is closed, a control light located on the front of the appliance lets you see whether the drawer is on.

TEMPERATURE SELECTION The temperature knob lets you select a temperature between approximately 30°C and 85°C. Turn the temperature knob clockwise only, until the stop that indicates the maximum setting, and then counter- clockwise. Do not force it beyond the stop, otherwise the thermostat will be damaged. The temperature scale does not show absolute temperatures in °C, but rather symbols that represent the best temperature for respective groups of dishes: -(cup) approx.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE Place the dishes in the drawer Turn on the appliance. The ON indicator light flashes. Close the drawer. The ON indicator light is now steady and the appliance starts heating. Before inserting dishware, it is advisable to pre-heat the appliance on the Max setting for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, to heat the dishes, select a setting between 1 and 6 (see figure).

GERÄTESTEUERUNGEN HPWD 140 Die Bedienung des Geräts erfolgt über den Temperaturregelknopf und den ON/OFF-Leuchtschalter. Bei gedrücktem Schalter (Position 1) ist die Schublade eingeschaltet, während sie bei ausgerastetem Schalter (Position 0) ausgeschaltet ist. Diese Bedienelemente sind nur sichtbar, wenn die Schublade geöffnet ist. Wenn die Schublade hingegen geschlossen ist, zeigt ein LED auf der Vorderseite des Geräts an, ob die Schublade eingeschaltet ist.
Page 48 WAHL DER TEMPERATUR Mit dem Temperaturknopf ist eine Regulierung zwischen ca. 30 °C und 85 °C möglich. Den Temperaturknopf nur im Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Anschlag, dem Maximum und dann gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Nicht gewaltsam über den Anschlag hinaus drehen, da sonst der Thermostat beschädigt wird.
