Swing open the brew basket so that it is extended out from the coffeemaker. Place a MR. COFFEE ® brand 8-12 cup #4 Cone Style paper filter or a MR. COFFEE ® permanent filter in the removable filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. -

Unplug the coffeemaker and wait for the contents to cool before handling. Brewing Coffee Later (Using the Delay Timer, Models ECTX81, ECTX84 and ECTX85 only) You must set the time for when you would like the coffeemaker to begin brewing your coffee. -
