Emergency Message

You can pre-record an emergency message to
be sent automatically when the emergency call
feature is activated. This message may
contain, for example, your location or status
which may prove useful to the recipient,
especially if, in the emergency situation, you
are unable to talk.
To pre-record an emergency message:

Ensure radio is in IDLE STATE.

Press and hold the Record/Playback button,
the Voice Storage Recording alert sounds
momentarily.
You will see:

Speak clearly into the radio microphone to
record your message.

The Voice Storage Warning alert sounds
when the memory is nearly full.
You will see:

The Voice Storage Full alert sounds when the
memory is full and recording ceases.
You will see:

Release the Record/Playback button at any
time to stop recording.

Press the Record/Playback button to playback
the emergency message.
You will see:

You can change the message at any time by
repeating the above procedure.
