Pr. 57 setting
When automatic restart after instantaneous power failure has been selected,
the motor and machine will start suddenly (after the restart coasting time has
elapsed) after occurrence of an instantaneous power failure. Stay away from
the motor and machine.
When you have selected automatic restart after instantaneous power failure,
apply in easily visible places the CAUTION seals supplied to the instruction
manual (basic).
The motor is coasted to a stop as soon as you turn off the start signal or press
STOP
the
key during the restart cushion time after instantaneous power failure.

Waiting time for inverter-triggered restart after power is
restored from an instantaneous power failure. (Set this time
between 0.1 and 5s according to the inertia moment (J) and
torque of the load.)
No restart
Normally the motor may be run with the factory settings. These
values are adjustable to the load (inertia moment, torque).

Pr. 58 setting
CAUTION
Description
Generally, this setting will
pose no problems.
CAUTION
Automatic restart operation after
instantaneous power failure is a
reduced voltage starting system in
which the output voltage is risen
gradually at the preset frequency
independently of the coasting speed
of the motor.
It is a system which outputs the
output frequency before an
instantaneous power failure, unlike
the motor coasting speed detection
system (speed search system) used
by the FR-E
transistorized inverters. Hence, if
the instantaneous power failure time
is 0.2s or longer, the frequency
before an instantaneous power
failure cannot be stored in memory
and the inverter restarts at 0Hz.
The SU and FU signals are not
output during a restart. They are
output after the restart cushion time
has elapsed.
