CUTTING METHODS IMPORTANT POINTS S Check chain tension before first use and af- ter 1 minute of operation. See CHAIN TEN- SION in the ASSEMBLY section. S Cut wood only. WARNING : Be alert for and guard against kickback. Do not allow the moving chain to contact any other branched or objects at the nose of the guide bar when limbing or pruning. Allowing such contact can result in serious injury. WARNING : Never climb into a tree to limb or prune. -

If your saw cuts to one side, has to be forced through the cut, or been run with an improper amount of bar lubrication it may be neces- sary to service your bar. A worn bar will damage your chain and make cutting difficult. -
